Arusha - Lake Manyara
Depart Arusha in the morning and journey toward Lake Manyara National Park, nestled at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment. After checking in at your lodge and enjoying lunch, set out on your first game drive. Explore this compact yet vibrant park known for its lush groundwater forest, flamingo-lined lake shores, and the chance to spot tree-climbing lions. Keep an eye out for elephants, baboons, hippos, and colorful birdlife. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight surrounded by the peaceful forest ambiance.
Full Day in Lake Manyara
Enjoy a full day exploring the unique habitats of Lake Manyara. Begin with a sunrise game drive when wildlife is most active. After breakfast, you may visit nearby viewpoints for panoramic views of the lake and rift valley. Optional activities include a village walk or cultural tour in the Mto wa Mbu area. In the afternoon, return to the park for another game drive or bird-watching excursion. End the day with dinner and relaxation at your lodge.
Lake Manyara - Ruaha
After an early breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight to Ruaha National Park, Tanzania’s largest and one of its least-visited gems. Upon arrival, enjoy a scenic game drive en route to your lodge or tented camp. After lunch, head out for an afternoon safari through the park’s rugged terrain. Ruaha is famous for its large elephant and buffalo populations, as well as rare species like African wild dogs and sable antelope. Return to camp in the evening for dinner and a night under the stars.
Full Day in Ruaha
Spend the full day immersed in Ruaha’s dramatic landscapes—where open plains meet baobab-dotted hills and rocky outcrops. Embark on morning and afternoon game drives, tracking lions, leopards, and herds of giraffes across the open savannah. You’ll also encounter a rich variety of birdlife, especially near the Ruaha River. Between game drives, enjoy downtime at your lodge or join a guided bush walk for a closer look at the park’s smaller wonders. Dinner and overnight in the wild.
Ruaha - Nyerere National Park
After breakfast, take a scheduled flight to Nyerere National Park, one of Africa’s largest protected areas and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Upon arrival, enjoy a boat transfer or short game drive to your lodge. In the afternoon, head out on a boat safari along the Rufiji River, a unique way to spot crocodiles, hippos and elephants on the riverbanks. As the sun sets over the water, return to camp for dinner and overnight in this tranquil, water-rich wilderness.
Nyerere Safari and Departure
On your final day, rise early for a guided walking safari or morning game drive, offering one last opportunity to spot lions, impalas, hyenas, and other game in Nyerere’s diverse terrain. After breakfast, check out and transfer to the airstrip for your return flight to Dar es Salaam or your onward travel arrangements.
